Kshatriyas
Kshatriyas' are the second highest class in the Hinduism structure, and the most populated too. This is because the majority of people classified as Kshatriyas' are located in the Northern half of India.
Some of Kshatriyas are royals (like Kings and Queens,) but most are worriers, who are commanded, by tradition, to protect their people and the Brahmin's. They also give gifts to the Brahmin's and offer sacrifices to gods and ancestors, as well as study the Vedas and abstain themselves from pleasures and hobbies.
The Kshatriyas' have held power over India for centuries, and word 'Kshatriyas' means power and ruler, and the Kshatriyas' are a very powerful class. This is where it gets its name from.
Siddhattha Gatama (the Buddha) is apart of this class, this is because he is a king to many, and this class contains many kings and rulers.
Kshatriyas' commonly eat meat (though never beef!) even though they rank high. They also can drink alcoholic drinks, these both are why they are different from the Brahmin's.
